The field mice trap is made of galvanized steel, it is a field mice trap designed to better resist to bad weather. Contrary to wooden traps that tend to swell with water, this trap is made to last over time. Like the vast majority of traps and other products on sale on our website, the field mice trap is made in France in our workshop.
Use of the trap :
The mule trap can also be used as a weasel trap or weasel trap. But beware, the weasel is not classified as harmful in all departments of France so remember to check. If you are more annoyed by rats than by field mice, we advise you to use other traps. The rat trap with one or two entrances will be more adapted. The field mouse trap is very simple to conceal thanks to its small size. The field mouse is attracted by a bait (apple, vegetables, etc.), it walks on the wooden pallet which tips over and gets blocked so that it cannot get out of the trap. With this trigger system, the field mouse can be captured without killing or injuring the rodent. To learn more about trapping, we suggest you take a look at Le Journal du Chasseur.
Quick presentation of the field mouse :
The field mouse is a small mammal of the rodent family. What distinguishes it from other small rodents is its long tail (6 to 9 cm) and ears larger than those of a mouse. The field mouse lives in burrows that it digs or borrows those already made by moles. It is a garden pest, it feeds on seeds, berries and attacks the roots of vegetables (carrots, celery, turnips, potatoes ...). It reproduces quickly and can end up doing a lot of damage. This is why it is important to trap it quickly if you start to observe damage. Also be aware that they may try to get into your house. In this case, the field mice trap can also be used without worry and without difficulty.
