The Corten Brazier - Hénon
Straight from our French Fab certified workshops in Verton, the Hénon corten brazier is the object that will make your outdoor space even more welcoming and warm! What could be better than a brazier to eat in after a good day's hunting? And why not cook the game a little later with this brazier?
It is possible to choose the visual cut out on the hunting brazier when ordering, and therefore to personalise it.
With a shape and a cut-out that provides a better air supply, your brazier will be all the more successful!
What type of steel should I choose?
Steel, the safe choice
This alloy is stronger, lighter and easier to work with than iron or cast iron, making it an ideal material for building a sturdy brazier, while still looking good.
It can withstand heat and high temperatures much better than other metals, which is obviously an important criterion for such a product. In addition, the object made of steel will remain strong and solid, while benefiting from a reduced weight compared to iron or cast iron. This makes it easier to move and transport during a day or weekend of hunting!
Also, steel has a certain economic factor due to its lifespan, so there is no need to buy a new brazier every 5 years! If you choose a Corten brazier, its lifespan will be multiplied by 10!
Corten, for a lifetime
This metal, which naturally produces a self-protecting patina after a few months outdoors, will stand out thanks to its beautiful rust effect, which will only add charm to your garden or yard.
But this patina is not only aesthetic. As previously mentioned, it is intended to be
self-protecting, and therefore will make your corten brazier resistant to corrosion, bad weather and inclement weather.
Moreover, this steel does not require any particular treatment or maintenance in order to remain outside, no need to cover it with a tarpaulin during heavy rain!
Originally used in shipbuilding and marine construction to protect against corrosion caused by moisture and salt, this steel will be perfect for a corten brazier that will stay outside without risk of damage from bad weather, or moisture and salt air if you live near the coast.
How do you fuel and start the fire?
To start, you need to choose a fuel for your fire:
Charcoal, which will burn more slowly and give you more heat than wood
Wood, in logs, economical and classic, which will give very beautiful flames and will add a magnificent flavour to your food during a barbecue brazier!
Reconstituted wood, such as wood pellets or compressed logs, which is the perfect ecological alternative while retaining the same calorific value as wood!
Keep in mind that it is possible to mix them, but the desired effect will only be better if you use the same fuel.
Next, light your fire gradually with fire starters, and avoid piling your fuel too high on top of the corten brazier so that the embers don't blow away if the wind is strong.
