The Hénon metal brazier

Made in France, in our Verton workshops, our metal brazier is the ideal object to make your garden or your yard even warmer!

And what could be better than a brazier to warm you up, to rest after a good day of hunting with your friends and to give your dog a little warmth after a good catch?

Cut out above with the visual of a head of a German pointer dog, it is possible to order it in raw steel, and also in Corten steel.

Our brazier is designed to provide an excellent draft, which then allows the best possible flame to be maintained. This will give your brazier the best possible effect!

Why steel?

Stronger, lighter and more malleable when working, steel is the material of choice for this product:

- + more economical thanks to its long life, which is multiplied by 10 if the product is made of Corten steel

- + more resistant than cast iron, aluminium or iron alloys

- + more malleable and therefore more practical to work with, resulting in a more aesthetic object 

- Much more heat resistant than aluminium or other metals, making it ideal for brazier flames

- + Lighter without losing strength, therefore easier to move and transport, during your hunting weekends for example!

Advantages of Corten steel

This alloy, also known as self-protecting steel, stands out because of the rusting effect that appears naturally after a few months exposed to the outside.

Don't worry though, your corten metal brazier will be far from being at the end of its life!

This "rust" is actually a protective patina that makes the object resistant to corrosion.

Indeed, where a classic steel will last about fifteen years without maintenance outside, a corten steel brazier will see its life expectancy multiplied by 10, and this without maintenance even constantly outside!

In addition, its beautiful rust effect, an aesthetic feature of its own, will certainly impress your friends and family during a meeting around a brazier lit in this timeless material.

Corten steel is originally used in maritime and naval construction against corrosion caused by salt water and sea air.

A Corten brazier is therefore ideal if you live near the sea, take it hunting, or leave it outside all year round, so it will not be affected by corrosion.

Fuel

It is possible to feed the brazier with : 

- wood logs; classic and economical, which will produce beautiful flames and give an unrivalled flavour to your barbecue braziers!

- charcoal; burns more slowly and has a high calorific value, so you will stay warm longer 

- reconstituted wood (compressed logs, wood pellets, etc.); an ecological alternative that heats just as well as traditional wood

Where to install the brazier?

Avoid enclosed areas, to prevent any accumulation of harmful gases released by combustion, and do not install under low tree branches, as there is a risk of spreading flames.

Always place it on the flattest possible surface so that it does not tip over. It will not be blown over by the wind, but it must remain upright to avoid falling over in a fire.

For a Corten metal brazier, there is no need to cover it in bad weather as it does not corrode. 

For the classic steel model, cover it with a tarpaulin in case of bad weather, in order to protect it from rust.

Start the brazier safely

Light the fire gradually using fire starters. You should also avoid piling the wood too high on top of the metal brazier so that the embers do not fly away.

Always keep an eye on the fire, and watch the wind. If the wind is strong, keep a safe distance of at least 2 metres from any object that could catch fire.
