Our rat traps :

This rat trap has two entrances. When the cage is positioned where there is passage along a wall or a fence, it allows you to trap the rat, no matter which side it comes from.

Its doors have the particularity of avoiding trapping backyard animals, so you can place this rat trap in parks and aviaries.

The two doors close simultaneously, when the rat passes over the pallet, it is trapped and can no longer get out.

Advice for use :

To make the rat trap more attractive, you can place a bait (such as cat food, pieces of bacon, etc...) on the pallet. Placing food on the pallet of the rat trap, having removed the doors beforehand and without operating the mechanism, will help to give the rat confidence. If you notice that food disappears regularly, the rat is confident and returns regularly, so you can put the doors back on and start the mechanism.

It is advisable to handle the rat trap with handling gloves, to avoid disease transmission. Rats can carry leptospirosis, a disease that can be serious for both humans and animals.

How to recognise a rat?

The grey rat, also known as the Norway rat, brown rat or sewer rat, is a nocturnal rodent. It measures about 25 centimetres and its tail is about 20 centimetres long, so it is smaller than its cousin the black rat.
