The fox is a predator, classified as a nuisance in certain departments because of the damage it can cause, or the diseases it can carry. This animal attacks small game, which implies many ravages during the release of farmed game to hunters. As far as diseases are concerned, the fox can transmit alveolar echinococcosis to humans, which can be potentially fatal. An article in the hunter's journal has in fact spoken about this subject, as well as all the traps used to trap this animal, whose cage has foxes. 

It is therefore important to regulate the fox population in order to limit damage to small game and also to guarantee the safety of individuals who approach them, especially humans due to transmissible diseases.

Laying techniques :

Place your fox cage in the animal's passage, along your henhouse for example, or your aviary or pen. In the wild, remember to camouflage your trap with the elements around you, in order to reduce the fox's distrust as much as possible so that it can get into the cage. 

Put a bait in the middle of the cage to attract the fox. The fox will then enter the cage and engage the door locking mechanism. It will then be trapped. 

The fox cage is ideal for protecting poultry, chickens, ducks, pheasants, partridges and aviary birds.

We also have fox cages with decoy. This means that you can place your live bait in a compartment provided for this purpose, keeping it away from predators. If you choose this type of cage instead, remember to protect your decoy from rain and sun, as well as providing food and water.
