Roe deer high brazier

A cool evening? Warm up with a Hénon high brazier! For the record, this object was originally a heating utensil, mainly made of terracotta and then of copper filled with hot embers, in flats in Spain, hence the foreign-sounding name "brazier".

Over time, this object has evolved to become both a kitchen accessory and a decorative and warm element for your garden.

The high brazier, with the visual of a roe deer bust, is made in France in our workshops. During the manufacturing process, two choices are available to you:

Raw steel ;

Corten steel, to give a natural "rust" effect.

Our brazier is designed to last for long evenings, with an excellent air draft that will keep the flame alive.

Steel for a better durability

In addition to offering a longer product life, steel has a modern, designer look that will blend in perfectly with your garden. It also offers a certain lightness, despite its imposing appearance, the high brazier remains easily malleable, giving you the possibility to move it as you wish. And like our dog crates, this lightness does not affect their strength! This makes it solid and easy to transport. This makes it an ideal accessory for your hunting weekends for example!

Steel is more resistant than iron, and its lifespan can be multiplied by 10 when you choose Corten! This metal is also resistant to high temperatures, much more so than aluminium or other metals.

What more is there to Corten steel?

Rust is usually a sign of advanced degradation of a metal, considerably reducing its resistance, with Corten, it is the opposite! Indeed, this metal, also known as "self-protecting steel", is slowly covered with rust over time, which forms a protective patina making the object all the more resistant to corrosion.

By way of comparison, conventional steel lasts for an average of 15 years without outdoor maintenance, and obviously longer if it is maintained. For Corten, multiply this average by 10, even without maintenance! That is the equivalent of more than a lifetime!

Rust gives the high brazier an authentic appearance, unique to itself. Originally, self-protecting steel was used on ships to resist the corrosion caused by salt water and sea air.

What to light it with?

To start and feed the fire, there are several options:

- Charcoal, which is consumed slowly and provides a long-lasting flame;

- Wood logs, which give your brazier a warmer, more classic feel while providing beautiful, bright flames

- Reconstituted wood, an ecological version of traditional wood, with the same effects as traditional logs.

Starting the fire

Start slowly, using only recommended fire starters. Tip: don't stack your wood too high, as this will prevent the embers from flying away. As with a barbecue, remember to keep an eye on your fire to prevent it from burning out. And remember, wind is the enemy of your brazier, so on a windy day, be careful not to put anything within 2 metres of your brazier to avoid danger.
