The 13x13 single spring weasel trap is very suitable for trapping mustelids and muskrats. You can also find on our website the same trap but in double spring.  This weasel trap, as well as all our other X-traps, are sourced from Canada. How do you trap a weasel with the X-trap?

The weasel is an animal considered as ESOD (species likely to cause damage), which can cause a lot of damage, in addition to odours, in your home. To attract the weasel, you can for example build a wooden box and place your weasel trap inside, with a bait. The animal will then be intrigued and will want to sneak in unsuspectingly, so it will be trapped. But there are other techniques for trapping weasels with an x-trap, such as in a tree trunk, or even on gutters, but also between two bales of hay or even in a fake beehive. 

Which X-trap?

Depending on the size of the animal you wish to trap, you will need to choose a different size trap. For weasels and muskrats, 13x13 (single or double spring) or 16x16 are ideal, as they are small and powerful enough. For coypu, we advise you to choose either a 16x16 or 18x18 X trap. And finally, for fox trapping, we strongly advise choosing a 25x25.
